Introducing Me

Why this blog? I’ve now reached a point where most of my life is behind me and fortunately I have plenty of experiences which have enriched my living. Communicating online rather than face to face, I am less afraid of being embarrassed by recalling past experiences or expressing my current opinions so I am able to “voice” them on a wide range of topics. If people aren’t interested in what they read just one click and I’m gone but I always find constructive feedback a delight to read. Keeping a personal journal doesn’t provide that option.

I am particularly interested in environmental issues but also ways in which lifestyles and expectations have changed over the years and the assumptions people make about others. I’m sure my blog will also provide me with the opportunity for the occasional rant on a current topic!

I would like to connect with people who are interested in similar things, perhaps some who have never even thought along the same lines or even considered the topic at all. People who try to dominate or browbeat are not on my list of those to be encouraged.

If I manage to complete the “Zero to Hero” challenge in 2014 I hope I will have interacted with a range of people who have made me think and who have thought along with me. I hope I will have created a blog that entices viewers to investigate my site and gives them satisfaction or better still, a laugh, from reading it.

I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. I prefer to be outside and am interested in photography, nature and different cultures. I believe everything on this earth has a right to be here but some things and some people would be happiest if their space was far away from mine. (Flies and biting bugs take note!) I don’t like housework and think dust is Nature’s way of saying, “This is my space, I was here first.”
