The weather was tooo hot for me again today, 39 deg,C this afternoon and I’m not the only one who’s had more than enough. I noticed this possum when I was out watering the garden this evening and it was so heat stressed it even allowed me to wet it with the hose. I started by misting it but then progressed to a gentle shower, at first it licked the water trickling down the stems but then licked it off its fingers and fur.
Tomorrow is forecast to be another 39 deg. day!

41c here tomorrow! My visit to the shopping centre will be quick – luckily it’s all undercover car parking 🙂
Kiera accepted a facecloth wash today – somehow I think she’d run a mile from the hose lol
Time for a cool change I think! A few years ago I found a mother and baby possum dead from the heat that’s why I like to try and give them a little shower.
Aha! So You have the same experience of high summer that we’ve been having when it just gets insanely, dangerously hot. What loving compassion to offer relief even to the little possum visiting your garden. I hope you have found some cooler, more comfortable days now at the end of February. ❤ ❤ ❤
We’re heading into a few more hot days but I think just high 30s and not continuing too log so that’s fine.
