I’ve just noticed this Rose in my garden and have no idea why it would have formed like this. Any ideas about what’s happening?

I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. I prefer to be outside and am interested in photography, nature and different cultures. I believe everything on this earth has a right to be here but some things and some people would be happiest if their space was far away from mine. (Flies and biting bugs take note!) I don’t like housework and think dust is Nature’s way of saying, “This is my space, I was here first.”

It looks inside out! I have had some double hearted roses, but nothing like this. have you been using weedkiller or similar sprays nearby?
No sprays at all luckily there have been no signs of pests or diseases.
Don’t know what might have done that then, just one of natures weird things.
i did a search and its called, I think, proliferation. just happens with some roses. probably genetic. usually not a problem. i remember seeing it now and then on my roses.usually floribundas.
Well, I should have known you’d find the answer. 🙂 I’m going to watch it to see what happens, I expect the buds in the centre will just dry up and drop off but it’s nicer imagining them all gradually opening.
