I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. I prefer to be outside and am interested in photography, nature and different cultures. I believe everything on this earth has a right to be here but some things and some people would be happiest if their space was far away from mine. (Flies and biting bugs take note!) I don’t like housework and think dust is Nature’s way of saying, “This is my space, I was here first.”

I have always liked my own company. And actually thought I could be a hermit. But during the first covid lockdown I discovered that I actually do need regular, limited contact.
ive also realized that the thing I miss most is the inconsequential talks. Eg I went out to pick some rocket .. it was hot and sunny but suddenly out of nowhere I was being quietly rained on. Not important enough to phone someone or message someone and its not important..but it was wierdly unexpected and had i had someone near we would have laughed and marvelled about it.
I agree, I wouldn’t like to be completely isolated and I know there are times little unexpected things happen and it’s good if someone’s there to share them with you. But! I’m enjoying some solitude, right now. 🙂
I am friends with solitude as well. Problems happen when your partner isn’t, as was the trouble with my parents. My husband likes silence as much as I do, and so we are a quiet couple together.

I know some people put TVs on or play music whenever they’re alone but I’d rather hear the birds outside, like the Magpies I can hear warbling now.
Beautiful places. I’d love to be there!
It’s a lovely place to live, if you appreciate nature.
